During the Easter period readings from the ACTS are to the fore. With Pentecost approaching come to learn more about what ACTS tells us about the early Church history and discuss how this is relevent to us today.

A couple of items for you today:

1. Training move to WEDNESDAY nights for two months – From NEXT WEEK TRAINING will be moving to WEDNESDAY NIGHTS for a couple of months while Kate attends a training course for work. This week we are still on Tuesday. Sunday times remain unchanged.

2. Masters Swimming is having a luncheon following the AGM on Saturday 16th June 2007 at SYDNEY OLYMPIC PARK from 1pm (see attached). Cost $15 per person. Let me know if you are interested in going

Mum's Funeral

Thank you all for your support and words of encouragement at this time of loss.

 

The funeral was held on Thursday at 11am and was a very moving service for all of the family. Afterwards, we sent mum off with a big traditional Irish wake, of which I am sure she would have been overjoyed.

FaithWorx - Eucharist + Bible Study - Sunday 6:30pm St Johns Hall Meeting Room

Last week we continued our discussion on the Sacraments. We looked at how and when confirmation fits into the other sacraments as well as seeing that we are "strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed." (Catechism 1285) 

 

We commenced our look at the Eucharist, the mystery of it being both the peak of our faith while at the same time being the most common practive. We posed the question "What is unique about being Catholic?".
