A quick Spring update including a summary for those who missed the meeting a couple of weeks ago.

1. The financial year report from Tino was circulated.

2. 2009 Fees:

- New members now to end of 2009 - $150

- Existing members renewing before Christmas - $120

- Existing renewal or new members after Christmas - $130

3. Ryde Carnival: Four swimmers entered the Ryde carnival. Congratulations to all.

4. Short Course Championships at Woy Woy 18-19 October (see attached) - Entries due in the next couple of weeks. Let me know your events+times and fix me up for $$ at training.

5. Club track suits - Thanks to Steve and Chris for bringing in the samples. Check with Craig to have a look and let him know your thoughts. At this stage we will probably go for black with red trim. Cost about $80.

6. New members - If you haven't already, remember to say hi to our new members Nicholas, Sok Ry and Evan.

WYD Reunion on this Friday!

WYD REUNION: PICS AND FLICKS

A film and photography competition with live music, dinner and dessert on this Friday 19 September 6.00pm to 9.30pm at McKinnon Theatre (67:107), University of Wollongong.

All WYD08 participants are welcome! Come and enjoy a great free night with Bishop Peter, seeing the short films and photographs created by World Youth Day participants in our diocese. There are heaps of lucky door prizes that you could win - ranging from mobile phone credit, a Harley Davidson ride and a Wests Tigers Rugby League pack.

Please email, sms or phone me if you can make it on youth@dow.org.au 0439 260 200 or 4253 0809, so that we have a vague idea of numbers for catering purposes (my apologies if you have already received this message via sms).

With much demand, World Youth Day 2008 will be releasing a pastoral DVD collection available for sale from 15 September 2008. A commemorative book will also be available for sale in late November.

The DVD collection is not only for people wishing to relive the great event, but will be a pastoral tool for Churches, schools, youth groups and communities to help spread the word about the power of Christ's love.
