FaithWorx - The Final "Acts" - Sunday 6:30pm-8pm

Please join us this week to watch the final installment of

ACTS

from the Visual Bible

We plunge into the tempestuous years of conflict, danger and turmoil, as the young Christian church opens its arms to the "Gentile" world. Journey with Paul, Barnabas, Silas and Timothy as they teach and baptize, establish churches and plant the seeds of faith throughout Asia Minor, Greece and Macedonia. Share each success and setback. The full force and consequences of Paul's powerful commitment are now unleashed. Listen to the passionate eloquence that stirs the ancient world ... shatters old beliefs ... transcends differences of race and culture ... and opens new vistas of possibility in man's relationship with God. We return with Paul to Jerusalem. He ignores repeated warnings of personal danger to follow the call of the Holy Spirit. Witness the pivotal events that will carry the flame of faith from dusty Judea to the heart of the Roman empire. The passionate beliefs and eloquent words of this charismatic Roman Jew shakes the worldly cynicism of kings and politicians. Then living amid the splendor of imperial Rome, Paul continues to teach and baptize. He strives for harmony between Jewish tradition and Christian belief. Paul's travels and writings plant the seeds of change that revolutionize the civilized world.

Greetings Leatherjackets!

Greetings Leatherjackets!

A couple of quick updates for those who weren't able to make the
meeting last night.

1. Congratulations to all the swimmers at State Champs. An exhausting
but worthwhile experience.

2. Shirts and Bags - These are now ready. If you haven't already,
please bring your money ($33 for shirt, $30 for bag) next week.

3. Attached flyers for those who like to travel - June Long Weekend in Yamba.

4. Social Night!! - It has been suggested that we go Mexican for our
next outing. Date TBC but the second half of May. What do you think?
Keep some dates free!

5. We are now in-doors! Following the change from daylight saving, we
have now moved into the 25m pool - it seems soooo short.

6. Possible swimming carnival 2009 - The possibility of holding a
swimming carnival at Liverpool in 2009 has been raised. Obviously we
would need support from everyone to do this. If it were to go ahead,
would you have time to help?

7. Sponsorship - Q-Loans has offered a $500 sponsorship to the club.
Thanks to Steve and Chris for arranging this.

That's all for now - See you in the pool!
Sean

Fwd: Parking at SOP

---------- Forwarded message ----------

Subject: Parking at SOP

Hi All,

Please advise your members who are swimming at the State Championships on the weekend of the following:

On Saturday afternoon there will be a Swim Meet at SOPAC prior to our Championships which is timed to finish at 3.30pm, so parking may not be easy. Extra parking is available at P2 and P3 if the Aquatic Centre  carpark is full.

Please note there is a Rugby League match starting at 5.30pm at ANZ stadium and the Celine Dion concert at ACER arena at 7pm, so there will be a lot of traffic in Sydney Olympic Park. Please leave plenty of time to get to the pool for warm up starting at 4pm.

(Thank goodness the Easter Show is over!)

Thanks for passing this on.

Regards,
