Just a reminder that the Lenten Programme continues with week 2 on
Sunday night from 7pm in St John's Hall Meeting Room. If you missed
the first week, you are welcome to come along and join in this week.
Per the below update from Richard Healy, as the Lenten booklets have
all sold out the programme is now available on the Wollongong web site
at http://www.dow.org.au/lent for download. There is also a large
print edition.
Journey to the Heart
Lenten Program 2008 :: UPDATE
________________________________
Some older people, especially when reading the Lenten Program in a
poorly-lit room (like most lounge rooms) have expressed that they find
reading some of the text of the Journey to the Heart reflections
difficult on those pages that have background images. In an attempt to
make the program accessible to all, we have prepared a text-only
larger-print edition of the Program (attached to this message).
We have now sold-out all 10,000 copies of the Lenten Program
(including over 3,000 that we sent as gifts to Catholic Churches
around Oceania and the South Pacific, as well as copies to many
parishes around Australia and New Zealand) so the full six-week
program is now available on the Diocese of Wollongong website
(previously, we only included one sample week).
Visit the website to find resources that will help you in your own
Lenten journey: http://www.dow.org.au/lent
On the website, you will also find Bishop Peter's comments about the
Apology to the Stolen Generation as well as Archbishop Phillip
Wilson's response on behalf of the Australian Bishops:
